WoW Arena Season IV Changes

I'll keep this KISS.

As a person who does both PvE and PvP I think the rating requirements for season 4 are great. Not only does it create balance within the PvP arena system but also in the PvE realm, allowing people to value their high end PvE epics.

But the revised Season 3 requirements may still be a little harsh. There will be many old timers who acquired season 2 weapons and shoulders since the day they came out and will still be using them well into the launch of WoTLK or until the day they quit.

Learn 2 play right? Wrong, the customer is always right and in this case many of them will not receive what they desire, upgrades to the most important slots of their WoW alter ego, weapons and shoulders.

Save the drama for your mama and please don't flame.

Sigh... Arena was supposed to be the way for casual players to get PvP gear without having to play heaps of PvP. I suppose that idea is out the window...

I suppose if blizzard keep going along this line of making gladiator gear hard to get then they better at least start getting their own proper models, not just colour changes from tier gear.

Problem is with some of the gear PVP is better then the PvE gear.
Look at Pally Tier 4 and PVP S1.
Tier 4 was horribly designed.
Why the hell would I need a +20 healing bonus to my Judgement of Light.
Do I say.
"Oh guys keep healing I need to get this judgement back up." I mean WTF?
Who thought up that bonus?
and -15 to Divine Favor... Thats situational to the point 15 seconds will amost never make a diffrence.
And for Elemental Shamans the PVP gear is better then the PVE gear.
I must have missed where all the Elemental shaman gear is in Kara?

Unfortunate, but in a weird sense, balanced. Too many times have players sat in a major city a cried for an arena team. For what, you can ask most, just for the points for gear. Now what fun is that? Play game for gear? Come on now, you gotta be kidding me. Now this stuff has to be really earned and not handed out like some other vendor trash. And as for rate change, Great, make those players REALLY deserve that gear and appreciate the work it took to get there.

If the 1500 rating sticks, you could just farm points, then make a new team and cash the reward.
And before the whining really starts, this is only fair. Great gear needs an effort. You can still get all but 2 items of S3.

the only downfall to this is the fact that lower level toons don't stand a chance in the arenas.....can't we create a lower level arena?

I think he means people with out all pvp session4 epics, I really think this is stupid. Arena rating on honor rewards? WTF. This is going to be nice not being able to much in pvp enless you have the rating what happend to playing just for fun? I could care less how high my rating goes in arena.
